What does it mean that you are a fiduciary?
As a fiduciary financial advisor, we are legally and ethically obligated to act in your best interest at all times. This means every recommendation we make—whether about investments, tax strategies, or retirement planning—is guided solely by what benefits you most.
For more details on fiduciary standards, visit the CFP Board’s explanation of fiduciary duty.
-
How are you compensated?
Our compensation depends on the type of service you choose:
For investment management:
We charge an annual percentage-based fee depending on your total assets under management (AUM).- 1.25% for accounts under $100,000
- 1% for balances over $100,000
- Additional price breaks over $500,000
This fee is billed quarterly and automatically deducted from your account—saving you money when using pre-tax funds such as IRA assets.
For financial planning services:
We offer fixed-fee or hourly engagements depending on project scope.
- Hourly rate: $180/hour for CPA-level help
- Fixed-fee engagements: starting at $1,200

We follow an evidence-based investing approach rooted in research, not trends. This means using diversified portfolios, disciplined rebalancing, and long-term perspective to help you reach your goals.
-
Is there an account minimum?
No. Everyone deserves access to professional financial advice, no matter where they start. Our advisory fees are based on the total amount of assets we manage for you, but there’s no minimum investment required to begin working with us.
-
What makes you different from other financial advisors?
As fiduciary advisors and CPAs, we combine investment management, tax strategy, and financial planning under one roof. This holistic perspective allows us to design plans that are both financially sound and tax-efficient—helping you keep more of what you earn and invest.
-
Do you offer virtual financial planning services?
Yes. We work with clients locally and across the country through secure virtual meetings. This flexibility allows you to receive professional financial advice from anywhere—without compromising on quality or connection.
-
How often will we meet or communicate?
We believe consistent communication is key to your success. We typically meet with clients 1 – 3 times / year or as needed to review progress, adjust investment strategies, and ensure your financial plan stays aligned with your goals and life changes. We also send out quarterly performance reports and our custodian sends out monthly reports. To schedule an ad hoc meeting simply either call our office or click on the link to schedule a meeting.
-
What should I expect during our first meeting?
Your initial consultation is all about understanding your financial goals, challenges, and priorities. We’ll discuss your current financial picture, answer questions about our process, and outline a clear path forward.
There’s no cost or obligation for this introductory meeting—it’s simply an opportunity to see if we’re a good fit.
-
How do you help clients stay on track with their goals?
We provide ongoing guidance, performance reviews, and accountability.
Our role is to help you stay focused on your long-term financial plan, make informed adjustments as life changes, and ensure that every decision supports your personal and financial well-being.
-
What is your approach to tax-efficient investing?
Because we are also CPAs, we integrate tax-planning strategies directly into your investment and retirement plan. This includes optimizing asset location, minimizing taxable distributions, and identifying opportunities for tax-loss harvesting when appropriate.
